Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

For some of Queensland’s youth living on the streets, this is a hard question to answer… On any given night across our great country more than 25,000 young Australians sleep without a permanent roof over their head. Armed with my camera and the growing involvement of the Carina Youth Agency we are hoping to bring a fresh approach to work experience as we aim to tell the stories of young Australians struggling with homelessness and unemployment in Queensland.

By matching local businesses with young people who are already involved in the Carina Youth Agency programs, we hope to give them the opportunities and work experience within the industries they see themselves working in, in the future.

While they are in training I will photograph them, producing a portrait as a time stamp of what the future can hold. With these images I hope to have a gallery -showing, to raise money for the Carina Youth Agency and homelessness in general.
